Dr. Viccellio
is the Vice Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the State
University of New York at Stony Brook and a past president of the New York
Chapter of the American
College of Emergency
Physicians. He has published, lectured
and taught extensively in the field of emergency medicine, and is a nationally
recognized authority on the problem of boarding and crowding in emergency
departments. He is a graduate of Harvard
Medical School
and did his residency at Bellevue Hospital in New
York City.
